Razz rules

Razz is the low-only version of Seven Card Stud, where the best low poker hand wins the pot at showdown.

Players pay an ante and are dealt seven cards throughout the course of the hand, but only the best five-card hand possible is used to determine the winner. Straights and flushes do not count against you in Razz, making the best possible hand a "wheel": 5, 4, 3, 2, A. In Razz, Aces always count as a low card.

When evaluating your hand in Razz, always arrange your cards in order from highest to lowest. The highest card in your hand is the most important one to judge its strength. If there is a tie, the second highest card will come into play, and so on.

For example, two separate hands A,2,3,5,7 and 2,3,4,5,6, would be arranged 7,5,3,2,A and 6,5,4,3,2 respectively. Although the first hand has an Ace, the second hand is the lowest and is winning, as its highest card is a Six.
