Qualify for the GPL India for free!

PokerStars India has partnered with the Global Poker League (GPL) to bring you India’s first high-profile poker league. From June 25, you can qualify for free exclusively with PokerStars and play with India's most famous poker pros. You could even win a coveted PokerStars Players NL Hold'em Championship Platinum Pass!

The first season will consist of six teams squaring off against each other in a month-long season which will culminate in a live televised Playoff and Final!

PokerStars India Team Pros Aditya Agarwal and Muskan Sethi will be managing two of the six teams. Each team will also include two seasoned veterans of the game, as well as two online qualifiers - of which you could be one!

The winning team will be awarded ₹1 Crores in prizes in the form of five PSPC Platinum Passes packages (worth ₹20 Lakhs each) to the much-anticipated PokerStars Players NL Hold'em Championship in the Bahamas! The PSPC will take place in January 2019 and has a prize pool of over ₹65 Crores!

The following are the terms and conditions of the Global Poker League India online qualifiers (the “Promotion” *), as organized by PokerStars India (PokerStars) on the website, client and any other PokerStars India platforms. By participating in this Promotion, you shall be deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions herein.

1. The duration of the Promotion shall be June 25, 2018, to October 28, 2018 (“Duration”).
2. To participate in this Promotion, you must download the client, find, and then register to play in the ‘Global Poker League’ freerolls (“Daily Freerolls”). These will be available on the client from June 25, 2018 to August 5, 2018, at 20:00 IST.
3. The top 10 (ten) finishers of each daily freeroll will qualify to the ‘Progress to Bootcamp’ final (“GPL Team final”). These will take place each Sunday, from July 1 2018-August 5, 2018 at 20:00 IST.
4. All Prize winners will be contacted regarding arrangements for receipt of the Prize within 72 hours following the conclusion of each weekly final.
5. You can only qualify for bootcamp once during the entire Duration. If you qualify from one team’s freerolls you cannot qualify for another. However, if you do not qualify for the bootcamp, you can participate in all team qualifiers.
6. Players can only participate if they are from states where online poker is allowed to be played. Players resident in Gujarat, Odisha, Telangana, Assam and Sikkim cannot participate.
7. If you are unable to use the Prize for any reason, it will be assigned by PokerStars to the next available player from the weekly final. No compensation of any kind will be offered or given for any failure to utilise the Prize during the period of its availability.
8. At PokerStars sole discretion and/or in the event of unforeseen circumstances or circumstances outside PokerStars’ reasonable control, PokerStars reserves the right to offer a cash alternative instead of the actual prize.
9. No Prize will be awarded to a person who, for any reason, would not be allowed by law to use the Prize, or where the supply of the Prize to that person would be unlawful.
10. There may be additional terms and conditions imposed by the Prize provider which must be complied with. PokerStars will not be responsible for your failure to comply with such terms and conditions. In particular, winners shall comply with all health and safety guidelines and instructions, and all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
11. Winners are not entitled nor authorized in any way to commit PokerStars to any contract, expense or costs – entered into or incurred – without its advance written acceptance.
12. Any applicable taxes or duties payable in relation to the receipt of a Prize hereunder shall be the sole responsibility of the winner of such Prize.
13. In the case of disputes in regards to the participation rights, all matters relating to the awarding of the prizes, and or the terms and conditions of the Promotion, the final decision lies with PokerStars management. This is binding and shall not be subject to review or appeal by an entrant or any third party.
14. By participating in the Promotion, you hereby agree to release, discharge and hold harmless PokerStars, its legal representatives, affiliates, subsidiaries, agencies and respective officers, directors, employees and agents, from any damages whatsoever, including any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the acceptance of any Prizes.
15. PokerStars reserves the right, at any time, to alter these terms and conditions at its sole discretion, including to cancel, modify or suspend the Promotion if PokerStars believes that the Promotion is not capable of being conducted as specified.
16. You are prohibited from using multiple accounts to participate in this Promotion. PokerStars reserves the rights to disqualify anyone suspected of creating multiple accounts who takes part in this Promotion. The decision to disqualify any participant shall be at the sole discretion of PokerStars.
17. When participating in the Promotion, you confirm that the name and address which are registered in your PokerStars account are correct and up to date. Any player unable to produce such proof of name and address will be excluded or disqualified from participation in the Promotion.
18. By participating in the Promotion, you are deemed to have granted PokerStars the right to use your name, likeness, voice and image in marketing and promotion campaigns in any media whatsoever without further compensation and you expressly waive any claims against PokerStars in this regard.
19. Employees and relatives of employees of PokerStars and any entities affiliated or related to PokerStars are not permitted to participate in the Promotion. For these purposes, the term relative shall mean spouse, partner, parent, child or sibling.
20. These terms and conditions and matters relating hereto shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with Indian law, and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Indian courts.

Qualifier Inclusions

1. GPL India Qualifier Packages are non-transferrable and non-redeemable for cash. Each Final Prize consists of: 
   • Entry into the GPL India Finale Sit & Go for the team the qualifier has won the package (no cash value).
   • Accommodation for two (2) nights in Delhi (September 7 and 8, 2018).  
   • Return transfer costs domestically within India to accommodation venue (maximum of ₹15,000).
2. GPL Qualifiers who win first or second place in their GPL India Finale Sit & Go only* qualify for their respective GPL India team. As members of their team roster, each qualifier will receive:
   • Guaranteed placement on their qualification team.
   • Guaranteed play time in two (2) 6-Max Online Sit & Go’s – to be played from a predetermined accommodation venue in Delhi on the evening of September 28, 2018.
   • Guaranteed play time in two (2) 6-Max Sit & Go’s live at the GPL India studio in Delhi (playing for team points, not money) on September 29, 2018.
   • Accommodation for two (2) nights in Delhi (September 28 and 29, 2018).
   • Return transfer costs domestically within India to accommodation venue (maximum of ₹15,000).
3. Qualifiers whose teams move forward from the Regular Season to the GPL India Season 1 Finals. Accompany their team for live broadcast Heads-Up style team tournament play. Participating qualifiers will receive: 
   • Guaranteed play time in at least one (1) Heads-Up match live at the GPL India studio (playing for team points, not money) on September 2, 2018.
   • Accommodation for 2 nights (September 28 and 29, 2018).
   • Return transfer costs domestically within India to accommodation venue (maximum of ₹15,000).
   • Qualifiers who are part of the GPL India Season 1 Championship team will each receive (one) 1 PokerStars Platinum Pass (valued at ₹20 Lacs) to the PokerStars Players Championship with a whopping ₹65+ crore prize pool and a guaranteed ₹6.5+ crore for the winner.

*The role of PokerStars is limited to providing the platform for GPL India Online Qualifiers, and the awarding of 5 x PSPC Passes for the winning team. PokerStars is no way responsible for any of the other legs in between &/or GPL’s execution process.
